Peep a new clip from Jim Mickle’s vampire flick Stake Land, in U.K. theaters Friday

To all you VOD patrons, have you gotten a chance to scope Jim Mickle’s vampire yarn STAKE LAND in the last couple months? How was she?

Oh you didn’t see it? Don’t fret. The flick hits U.K. theaters this Friday, then DVD and Blu-ray on August 2nd. Empire Online has issued a sweet new clip to help promote the film overseas. Get after that shite underneath!

Co-written with Mickle by Nick Damici, STAKE LAND sees:

America as a lost nation. When an epidemic of vampirism strikes, humans find themselves on the run from vicious, feral beasts. Cities are tombs and survivors cling together in rural pockets, fearful of nightfall. When his family is slaughtered, young Martin is taken under the wing of a grizzled, wayward hunter whose new prey are the undead.

Simply known as Mister, the vampire stalker takes Martin on a journey through the locked-down towns of America’s heartland, searching for a better place while taking down any bloodsuckers that cross their path. Along the way they recruit fellow travelers, including a nun who is caught in a crisis of faith when her followers turn into ravenous beasts. This ragtag family unit cautiously moves north, avoiding major thoroughfares that have been seized by The Brethren, a fundamentalist militia headed by Jebedia Loven that sees the plague as the Lord’s work.

Connor Paolo, Damici, Kelly McGillis, Danielle Harris (bellow), Bonnie Dennison, Marianne Hagan, Chance Kelly, Adam Scarimbolo, Sean Nelson and Michael Cerveris all play a role in the film.
