As the disheartening news breaks that Chris Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will be a no show at this year’s Comic Con, word comes in that yet another actor has joined the ever-growing cast…

Variety reports that THE COLLECTOR’S Josh Stewart (seen right) is the latest to join the Pittsburgh set gala, which is currently filming for a July 20, 2012 release. As per usual, Nolan is keeping details on Stewart’s role under a tight body-wrap. However, we do know Stewart will join franchise newbies Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Brett Cullen, Chris Ellis, Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff and Burn Gorman.

Aside from THE COLLECTOR, Stewart has kicked around various TV and film projects over the years. He’s appeared in “Criminal Minds”, “No Ordinary Family”, THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, BENEATH THE DARK, and currently has REHAB, THE BIG VALLEY and THE COLLECTION all in various stages of production. Dude’s building quite the resume!

Also starring Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard (below), Juno Temple and Josh Pence – we’ll be sure to keep you abreast of all major developments on THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.
