Maggie Gyllenhaal plays nurse in supernatural thriller Voice from the Stone

Maggie Gyllenhaal will star in the supernatural thriller VOICE FROM THE STONE, according to Variety. The film is currently being sold at Cannes by K5 International.

The synopsis: Story sees Gyllenhaal play the role of a nurse drawn to the aid of a young boy who is haunted by malevolent forces within the walls of an old house in the Italian countryside. As she develops a relationship with the father of the boy, she also becomes haunted by the same evil presence and must fight to save herself and the boy.

Got to love a good old spooky tale on Italian countryside. Perhaps we can call this one INSIDIOSO?

VOICE FROM THE STONE, set to be directed by former stuntman Eric Howell, is based on the Italian novel “Le Voce Della Pietra” by Silvio Raffo. Dean Zanuck and Stefano Gallini are producing. No other cast has been announced.
