News seems to be spilling out slower than usual on this gloomy Wednesday morning so I’ve dug up an interesting little tidbit from The Hollywood Reporter that might interest you guys.

You see, apparently MGM and Sony Pictures have decided to team up on the highly anticipated adaptation/remake, or so says The Hollywood Reporter. So what is the deal exactly? Check it:

Sony will handle marketing and distribution, while MGM will handle select international television licensing for the film.

Not huge news but hey at least it’s something right? This deal is part of the recently announced agreement between Sony and MGM to explore co-financing opportunities on future motion pictures produced by each of the respective studios for the next five years. BOND 23 is another highly anticipated project the studios are teaming on.

Starring Rooney Mara (pictured), Daniel Craig, Stellan Skarsgard, Robin Wright, Christopher Plummer and Joely Richardson , THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO is set to hit theaters on December 21st so we can expect a lot more updates in the coming months!
