Last month we shot you up with a creepy little one-sheet for Daniel Fridell’s 3D remake of APARTMENT 1303, an intimate ghost story that puts a strain on a mother and her daughter. Now, as Cannes is set to kick off, we have a new sales poster for the film, which has an old-school artistic feel. And this just in folks, there will be blood!

Adapted from Kei Oishi’s original story by Jim Steele and Michele Taverna – APARTMENT 1303 3D is a modern ghost story which turns a love/hate relationship between mother and daughter into a tale of horror. Some rentals are too good to be true.

If that’s too vague for you, here’s a lengthier synopsis of the original 2007 Japanese film:

While celebrating with her friends in her new cheaply rented apartment (with balcony and view of the sea) on the thirteenth floor of a building, the young Sayaka unexpectedly jumps off the balcony committing suicide. Her mother goes insane and her older sister, Mariko, decides to investigate the mysterious death of her sister. She finds that there have been many suicides of young women living in apartment 1303. She finds a book telling the tragic story of the Yukiyo and her mother, the first tenants of the apartment and uncovers the truth behind the suicides.

Mischa Barton (below), Rebecca De Mornay, John Diehl, Julianne Michelle and Robert Blanche all star in the minimally comprised cast of the English language remake.

Hopefully the movie gets sold at Cannes, that we can get you a release date sooner than later. Stay close.
