Way back in February Alex hit you all with the news that Anonymous Content and director Erik Van Looy were planning on remaking the successful Belgian flick LOFT here in the US. For a project that sounded like it had some major potential it’s been a long ass time since we got any updates on this shite. Until now that is.
According to Variety the project is in final negotiations with a couple more cast memebers in the form of Wentworth Miller and Eric Stonestreet! Now Miller is best known as the star of the hit television series “Prison Break” while Stonestreet has apparently been tearing it up on “Modern Family.”
LOFT follows five married friends who decide to rent a loft together where they can bring their mistresses. When the body of an unknown woman is found in the loft, they realize that they don’t know each other as well as they thought and begin to suspect one another of murder.
The duo join the previously cast Patrick Wilson and James Marsden. Unfortunately there’s no telling who any of these guys will be playing but one can assume they’ll all be a part of the group of friends. Or something like that. Now considering I’m a big fan of both Miller (above) and Marsden, yes I said Marsden, I’m officially stoked for this project. What says you guys? Production on LOFT is set to start later this Spring with Erik Van Looy directing a script by Wesley Strick. ‘Later this Spring’ is practically here so we can expect a lot more LOFT updates soon!
