Available On Demand today is André Øvredal’s genre-tinged mockumentary THE TROLL HUNTER, which subsequently releases in limited theaters June 10th. As such, we’ve got a new poster and banner for the film, as well as a three-minute behind-the-scenes featurette. As always, you can find that shite underneath!
As you may know by now, TROLLHUNTER – Shot in a verite style, is the story of a group of Norwegian film students that set out to capture real-life trolls on camera after learning their existence has been covered up for years by a government conspiracy. A thrilling and wildly entertaining film, TROLLHUNTER delivers truly fantastic images of giant trolls wreaking havoc on the countryside, with darkly funny adherence to the original Norwegian folklore.
In the featurette, you’ll hear from star Glenn Tosterud as he explains what the film is all about. Mainly, how three students follow a weird troll hunter through the Norwegian outback. Director André Øvredal also pops up to talk about the three facets of filmmaking employed in the film: the interviews, the following, and the terror. Of course, footage from the film is also interwoven throughout the featurette.
