Kind of hard to imagine isn’t it? I mean after all the talk of Javier Bardem being interested in Ron Howard’s THE DARK TOWER you’d think he’d bail out or something. But alas, according to the New York Post the talented actor has offically signed on to the project! Well it’s about time… Jeez.

After months of back and forth Bardem has officially signed the epic deal that’ll have him starring in the first film of the trilogy along with the TV mini-series, though it’s expected he’ll be on board throughout the entire project. Scope out what a source told the NY Post:

“Bardem has signed on to the first movie and the miniseries, but the intention is that he will star in all three movies and each of the TV series. It’s an enormous deal for any actor, but Bardem was always the first choice.”

I’m not going to lie, this announcement surprises me more than if Bardem didn’t sign on. Considering Bardem (above) will be playing ‘Roland Deschain’ I’d say that’s some pretty awesome casting, wouldn’t you? Be sure to spit some bullets below on what you think about Bardem officially signing the dotted line and be sure to keep it here for all your DARK TOWER news!
