Here’s a teaming of badasses sure to make any action fan’s mouth water: Steve Austin and Danny Trejo. That’s right, the gnarly duo are set to come to blows in a revenge thriller -and everyone in their path would be wise to stand clear.

The project in question is RECOIL; written by John Sullivan (scribe of two direct-to-video sequels to THE PROPHECY), it carries the following synopsis: After the murder of his family, former cop John Varrett goes vigilante in order to find the criminals that have slipped through the system and exercise his own brand of ruthless justice.

Austin will of course play the former cop; Trejo will portray a cold-hearted killer who is seeking his own vengeance against the ex-cop over the murder of his brother.

RECOIL is being directed by Terry Miles and produced by Nasser Group North in association with Caliber Media Co. The flick will be looking for buyers at the upcoming Cannes Film Market.

Hopefully it gets a swift distribution, because I personally can’t wait for this smackdown.
