Audiences for SUPER 8 seem to be divided between those who are scouring for every bit of information about the picture available and those who want to go into it knowing as little as possible. In the summer of 1979, where a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
SUPER 8 is written and directed by J.J. Abrams with Steven Spielberg serving as a producer. It stars Elle Fanning, Amanda Michalka (below), Kyle Chandler, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich and Gabriel Basso. The film will hit theaters on June 10 via Paramount Pictures.
