Everyone was interested, to say the least, to hear that Rodley Scotto’s PROMETHEUS would feature the “Space Jockey” whose skeletal remains were seen in the opening sequence of ALIEN. Some fans were interested to learn more about it while others preferred the mystique.
In any event, AvPGalaxy posted what they claim to be concept art from the film of the Space Jockey. It hasn’t been confirmed as real, but I’m kind of hoping it’s fan-made. The art is well done, but the creature curiously lacks legs and, even more strange, has a PREDATOR-esque shoulder canon. See for yourself below.
The sci-fi/action/film will takes place a million years in the past. The cast includes Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron (below), Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Fassbender, Idris Alba, Rafe Spall, Sean Harris and Katie Dickie. It is scheduled to be released on June 8, 2012.
