I don’t care what language you speak, “shower scene” translates across the damn globe!
Which is why I thought it wise to share with a trio of Italian clips from John Carpenter’s THE WARD, which marks a return to the horror genre after a decade long respite (theatrically speaking). Cop a look, I think you’ll have fun with these…
In the first clip, watch a steamy prison style shower populated with a gaggle of nubile young ass. Nothing too explicit, but Amber Heard’s character is accosted by what seems to be a honry phantom. Can you blame the poor entity?
Next up is a suspenseful scene in which the luscious Amber Heard, lying in her locked down cell-bed, hears an eerie noise and decides to investigate.
Lastly, and frankly most annoying, you can see Danielle Panabaker’s character get tormented by a fellow inmate, the Italian sing-song dub is straight up grating. And not really in a funny way!
Aside from Heard (below) and Panabaker, Mika Boorem, Jared Harris, Mamie Gummer, Laura-Leigh, Sydney Sweeney, Sean Cooke, Milos Milicevic and Jillian Kramer all appear in THE WARD, which tells the story of:
Kristen (Heard), a beautiful but troubled young woman, who finds herself bruised, cut, drugged, and held against her will in a remote ward of a Psychiatric Hospital. She is completely disoriented, with no idea why she was brought to this place and no memory of her life before being admitted. All she knows is that she isn’t safe.
The other patients in the ward, four equally disturbed young women, offer no answers, and Kristen quickly realizes things are not as they seem. The air is heavy with secrets, and at night, when the hospital is dark and foreboding, she hears strange and frightening sounds. It appears they are not alone.
One-by-one the other girls begin to disappear and Kristen must find a way out of this hellish place before she, too, becomes a victim. As she struggles to escape, she will uncover a truth far more dangerous and horrifying than anyone could have imagined.
THE WARD hits the Dallas International Film Festival tomorrow (April 1st), the Philadelphia CineFest on April 8th, then finds limited release in the U.S. on April 15th.
