Hot off the success of BATTLE: LOS ANGELES‘ opening weekend, producer Neal Moritz (seen chillin’ with Eva Mendez) is going back to the otherworldly well with AGENT OX, a spec script he’ll supervise for Sony Pictures.
Though details are predictably thin, the story is said to follow a human spy living on an alien planet who must stop an invasion of Earth.
Moritz has got to be considered one of Hollywood’s sure-bets, with hits like I AM LEGEND, THE GREEN HORNET and the FAST & FURIOUS series on his belt. He’s currently producing the TOTAL RECALL remake for director Len Wiseman.
The AGENT OX screenplay was written by Daniel Kunka, who penned the, ahem, awesome WWE film 12 ROUNDS, which starred John Cena.
No director has been brought aboard yet, but since alien invasion (or the threat of them, as it were) are always hot, expect to hear more about this soon.
