We just got word about a cool looking indie movie called PLUG that we wanted to share with you. It’s a futuristic tale set in post-apocalyptic Portland, which is apparently inhabited by alien robots looking for a fight. Check out the first teaser video below. Here is the brief synopsis:
Leila, a spunky twenty year old on a quest for other life forms, finds her survival in jeopardy when she succeeds…
The effort is directed by David Levy, who has served as a concept artist on TRON: LEGACY and the “Assassin’s Creed” video game. Levy co-wrote the script with Hatem Benabdallah and Bernard Lyall. Benabdallah, who also serves as visual effects supervisor, worked on the visual effects for THE RING.
PLUG stars Jake Lyall, Damien Stickler and Zak Stucchi. No word on if its is a feature or a short film, but one would assume – based on the lengthy teaser and plans for more – that it’s a feature… at least I’m hoping so. More on the official website.
