AMC & Anchor Bay team up to bring “The Walking Dead” to DVD & Blu-ray

F*ckin’ hell, it’s all about BLACK SWAN and “The Walking Dead” this week, huh?

Continuing the trend is the news that Anchor Bay, in a deal they just struck with AMC, will bring Frank Darabont’s hit zombie TV show to DVD and Blu-ray. HAHA, AMC’s smart, they wanna cash in on those DVD sales before there’s no more writers!

All joshing aside, it makes sense the two sides are already thinking home video sales. The first series (only 6 episodes) comes to a close this Sunday, and with a whole year to wait for a second season (again, expected next fall), we’re gonna need our Rick and Lori Grimes fix to hold us over. Ah, who am I kidding, it’s all about Reedus and Rooker!

Finalizing on AMC this Sunday at 10:00 PM, “The Walking Dead” revolves around an epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled: There is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. Rick Grimes finds himself one of the few survivors in this terrifying future. A couple months ago he was a small town cop who had never fired a shot and only ever saw one dead body. Separated from his family, he must now sort through all the death and confusion to try and find his wife and son. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally begin living.
