The end of September marked our last article for Tom Elkins’ quasi-sequel THE HAUNTING IN GEORGIA, when Chad Michael Murray’s involvement in the film was made known. Today, Heat Vision is reporting two more names, thankfully female ones, who are set to join the production. Said names? Why, the lovely Katee Sackhoff (right) and Abigail Spencer (below)!

Spencer will portray the tormented Lisa Wyrick (wife to Murray’s brusque Andy Wyrick)…who becomes increasingly haunted by a spectral being in her family’s house. Sackhoff will play Lisa’s wayward sister Jill, who shares the malevolent curse they hope to keep away from her young daughter Heidi (Emily Alyn Lind). Word is veteran character actress Cicely Tyson has also been added to the cast, but her part wasn’t specified. Lauren Pennington is also rumored to play a character named Nell on the flick’s IMDB page.

Written by David Coggeshall, THE HAUNTING IN GEORGIA picks up:

Shortly after moving into their ideal new home, a couple grows concerned when their young daughter begins encountering mysterious strangers that no one else can see. The couple’s greatest fear is realized when they themselves begin to witness terrifying phenomena in and around the house, providing clues that could unlock a chilling mystery that has remained a closely guarded secret for generations.
