That’s right kids, today we finally have another update on the next KING KONG flick heading our way! Try to contain your excitement.
Seriously though, the last we heard on KONG: KING OF SKULL ISLAND came way back in July of last year, when we first heard this project was even in the works. Now since then we haven’t heard much but thanks to the blog Undead Brainspasm we’ve got an inkling of an update for the project. Now today’s news is nothing to write home about but hey, at least it’s something!
You see it seems the project has a writer in Andy Briggs, who’s already working on a script. Well considering this is the first update we’ve got on the project in well over a year, I’ll take it!
KONG: KING OF SKULL ISLAND is based on the graphic novel by Joe DeVito and Brad Strickland. It focuses on the backstory of Skull Island and how the giant gorilla became king there. It introduces other giant gorillas and dinosaurs only hinted at in the previous films.
Hopefully this means we’ll be hearing more about KONG: KING OF SKULL ISLAND soon! As always be sure to keep it here for more on the project as we hear it.
