You guys remember that horror anthology flick NITE TALES that Deon Taylor threw together a couple years ago? That shite had Flavor Flav as the host… How could you forget, right? Well it seems that film, and the subsequent Christmas special, isn’t the last we’ll be seeing of NITE TALES.

According to Variety No Brainer Films, which is the shingle founded by Taylor and Jamie Foxx, is gearing up to bring “Nite Tales” to the small screen in a horror anthology TV series. Sh*t… This is sounding pretty awesome already! But wait until you hear some details…

Foxx and Taylor are set to executive produce the series with Roxanne Avent, Robert Smith and former NBA star Mitch Richmond. Described as “Tales from the Crypt” meets “The Twilight Zone,” “Nite Tales” is set to kick off with 26 half-hour episodes that will be split into two seasons. Foxx and Taylor have both worked on the project, co-writing and co-directing several epsidoes. They’ve also already announced several guest stars such as Tom Arnold, Method Man and Jason Mewes so things are already shaping up for this one. The duo are also planning on branching “Nite Tales” out to several other parts of the media including the Internet, comicbooks, merchandising, soundtrack and ringtones. Now no sale on this shite has been made but that didn’t stop Taylor from talking about what we can expect with “Nite Tales:”

“Some of them will be very, very horrorfied, and others will be more supernatural. But they’re all PG; there won’t be any superbloody things happening to people.”

Wait a minute… PG? … Well damn, that puts a damper on things. Then again I’m getting a sort of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” vibe here and let’s face it… That show rocked. So perhaps “Nite Tales” might have some potential? But hold up! Are you guys ready for the kicker? Super-hotties Denise Richards (below) and Stacey Dash will be hosting this little shin-dig. Well damn… I’m sold!

What do you guys think? “Nite Tales” sounding like something you might be down with? Well it seems there will be a live event this weekend in Sacramento, California called “One Scary Night” that involves “Nite Tales” so maybe we’ll be getting a hint of things to come? Be sure to hit us with your thoughts on the project below and keep it here for more on “Nite Tales” as we hear it.
