Everyone has their opinions of M. Night Shyamalan… Sure the dude is struggling a little but there’s no denying he’s brought us some awesome flicks. It’s no secret the filmmaker is taking a step back from writing and directing to bring us THE NIGHT CHRONICLES, a series of films from the mind of Mr. Shyamalan. The first of THE NIGHT CHRONICLES is The Dowdle Brothers’ DEVIL, which is gearing up to hit us in the next couple weeks.
Now today’s news isn’t regarding DEVIL. Oh no. It’s dealing with the next installment of the NIGHT CHRONICLES series: TWELVE STRANGERS. Now mind you this isn’t rock solid news but according to HeyUGuys.co.uk it seems TWELVE STRANGERS might already have a director lined up… According to the site THE LAST EXORCISM director Daniel Stamm recently teased what his next project will be:
“My next project is a supernatural thriller and it’s not going to be shot in documentary style… One of my favourite filmmakers in the world, whose a legend, is producing it …an idea of his that another writer is writing and I’m going to direct. It has a twist in the ending, without giving away who it is.
Upon further speculation it seems Stamm’s mystery project could very well indeed by TWELVE STRANGERS. Actually it’s probably a safe bet to put some money on that one. Hell we already know who’s writing this shite so a director is the next logical step! So what’s the rundown on TWELVE STRANGERS? This is all we’re given:
…a thriller that involves a jury deliberating a case involving the supernatural.
