It was less than 24 hours ago that Moises informed us all that After Dark Films had a thriller on the way called TRANSIT. Now this new thriller isn’t exactly horror persay but it seems like it falls under the category of ‘violent thriller,’ which we love here at AITH! So we’re going to go ahead and roll with it.
So what news could I possibly be bringing to you less than a day after the film is announced? Why more casting news of course! According to The Hollywood Reporter both Jim Caviezel and James Frain have just signed on to the project. The two actors join the previously announced Elisabeth Rohm, Harold Perrineau and Diora Baird in the film, which Antonio Negret is directing from a script by Michael Gilvary.
In the story line, thieves on the run from a bank robbery come across a suburban family on its way to a camping trip. When the criminals stash their stolen money in the family’s SUV at a rest stop, the road trippers unwittingly draw the murderous band of outlaws on their trail.
Rohm will play the mother of the family with Caviezel (above) signed on as the father. Perrineau and Baird (below) have already been pegged as two of the thieves. It’s unknown what role Frain will play in the film but one can speculate he’ll also be a thief. No telling exactly when this one will start filming but I’m going to go ahead and assume it’ll be soon! As soon as we hear more about TRANSIT we’ll be sure to pass the good word along to all of you!
