It’s been a few months since we last heard about Lucky McKee’s THE WOMAN (see first reports HERE), long enough to be itching to hear more about this flick, and lookee here, but our prayers have been answered!

From a secret source deep within production we were given the heads up about a little featurette regarding the film from The Chiller Network called “Meet the Maker” in which they feature Lucky as he’s working on the sequel to Jack Ketchum’s THE OFFSPRING. Check out the video below (split into 2 parts) to see Lucky on the set, discussing the story, and yes… even revealing a small but compelling glimpse at the film itself. Nice!

THE WOMAN officially goes a little something like this:
The Woman is the last surviving member of a violent clan that has roamed the Northeast Coast for decades. When the last of her family is killed in a battle with the police, The Woman finds herself alone, severely wounded…and vulnerable. Unfortunately, she is now a far too easy prey for local hunter, successful country lawyer and seriously disturbed family man Christopher Cleek. With his twisted set of ideals, Cleek decides to embark upon a deranged project – to capture her and “civilize” The Woman” a decision that will soon threaten the lives of Cleek, his family and The Woman.

THE WOMAN stars Lucky regular Angela Bettis in the lead role… very f*cking cool. That chick is awesome, and can give me the creeps like no other for some reason. Check out Part 1 and 2 of the “Meet the Maker” video below and stick around for more on THE WOMAN (the OFFSPRING sequel) as we hear it!
