Way back in April we learned that Ryan Reynolds would be traveling to the world of the undead in an adaptation of graphic novel R.I.P.D.. You guys remember that? Of course you do. Well that was months ago… So what’s the deal yo?!

Unfortunately things are still moving at an abnormally slow speed on R.I.P.D. but it seems we may have a director signed on soon! According to the folks over at Pajiba none other than McG is eyeing the project as his next directing gig! Yes, McG. And yes, he’s still going by McG.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one…. A project that started with loads of potential has suddenly been placed on the fence. It’s not that I dislike McG or anything… I’m just not a huge fan of his work. To each their own, ya know? So seeing him attempt a genre flick like R.I.P.D. … ? I don’t know about that one. What do you guys think? Can you see McG helming R.I.P.D. or would you rather have someone else in the director’s chance as well? Be sure to hit us with your thoughts below!

Two cops, one recently dead and a gunslinger who’s been dead for hundreds of years, work on the Rest In Peace Department – which is the police department of the dead. And they basically…it takes place on a normal day and it’s about trying to keep the dead quiet.

Now Pajiba also point out that Universal was once looking at Zach Galifianakis for the other lead in the film. Well that’s intriguing… We’ll be on the lookout for more R.I.P.D. updates so be sure to keep it here for those as they come our way!
