Hudgens & Pettyfer get up close & personal in new Beastly one-sheet

One movie I’m sure hardly any of you are looking forward to is Daniel Barnz’s BEASTLY. I mean come on… a teen update of the classic BEAUTY AND THE BEAST tale? Sure the thing has some potential, I mean come on… it stars Neil Patrick Harris, but I just can’t help but feel BEASTLY is… well… going to suck. I’m sure I’m not the only one that thinks so too.

My opinions aside I’m here to tell you all about the latest genre news and unfortunately BEASTLY falls into that category. Today’s beast of an update for BEASTLY has us looking at a brand new one-sheet for the film… And guess what?! This one-sheet kind of sucks too… Actually it does suck… Hard. Don’t believe me? Pretty bad right? The new poster comes from JoBlo’s Pimpin’ Poster Palace and offers up stars Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer invading each other’s personal zones. Just click through on the poster for a high-res look at it.

Kyle Kingson, a teen who has it all — looks, intelligence, wealth and opportunity — and a wicked cruel streak. Prone to mocking and humiliating “aggressively unattractive” classmates, he zeroes in on Goth classmate Kendra, inviting her to the school’s extravagant environmental bash. Kendra accepts, and, true to form, Kyle blows her off in a particularly savage fashion. She retaliates by casting a spell that physically transforms him into everything he despises. Enraged by his horrible and unrecognizable appearance he confronts Kendra and learns zthat the only solution to the curse is to find someone that will love him as he is — a task he considers impossible.

Along with Hudgens (below) and Pettyfer the teen-monster-love-story also stars Mary-Kate Olsen (below), Peter Krause, Dakota Johnson, Erik Knudson, Karl Graboshas, Lisa Gay Hamilton, Jonathan Dubsky, David Francis, Gio Perez, Miguel Mendoza, Roc LaFortune, Rhiannon Moller-Trotter and of course, Neil Patrick Harris! Now this little diddy recently got pushed back quite a bit so we won’t be seeing it in theaters until March 18, 2011.
