There’s something about going to an ATM at night that’s a little creepy, no matter what sweet and peachy place you may live. Because of this, Chris Sparling’s scripted ATM sounds like a perfect thriller, using this creep factor against everyone on the entire planet.

We last told you about ATM HERE and today, we have an update. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brian Geraghty (pictured with ammo), Josh Peck, and Margarita Levieva (pictured below) have all been cast to star in the film as the film’s main “co-worker” characters. So what’s ATM about again, anyway? I’m glad you asked….

The plot follows three co-workers who stop off at an ATM on the way home from a Christmas party. From there, the rest of the story is set primarily in the ATM vestibule, and never leaves the supermarket parking lot. Seems that they’re trapped by a menacing man in a hooded parka, with no way of escape.

Again, talk about the perfect premise for a horror movie! Levieva appeared in ADVENTURELAND and THE INVISIBLE, Greaghty has been seen recently in THE HURT LOCKER, I KNOW WHO KILLED ME, and WHEN A STRANGER CALLS, and Peck was in MEAN CREEK and will be seen in the upcoming RED DAWN remake.

Not a bad line-up and a cast I think director David Brooks can really make this movie work–the talent’s obviously there. Let’s hope it rocks as hard as it sounds! Filming on ATM kicks off next month in Winnipeg, kick it here for more details as they come along.
