It’s no secret that filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov is producing an adaptation of the Seth-Grahame Smith novel ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER. Actually we’ve known about this for a while. What we didn’t know is that Bekmambetov is actually considering directing this one!
The news comes courtesy of Deadline, who say ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER could be Bekmambetov’s next directing gig. Up until now there’s been no talk of Bekmambetov directing the feature, only producing, so it’s nice to see some things opening up. It’s nothing new seeing talented directors step in to produce other projects, but it’s always good to see them step up and direct. What do you guys think? You down for a Bekmambetov directed ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER? Personally I’m more interested in who’ll be playing our beloved 16th President. Did I mention Tim Burton and Jim Lemley will also be producing? Yeah this thing looks like it’s got some potential!
