Since April there’s been a handful of you out there just chomping at the bit for your chance to own Platinum Dune’s A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST.–you know, the remake starring Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger?

You’re in luck, it seems, as Warner Bros. and PD are releasing the film on DVD and Blu-ray on October 5, 2010, with the following extras to keep you company and along for the ride.

  • Freddy Krueger Reborn featurette [DVD/Blu-ray]
  • Maniacle Movie Mode [Blu-ray]
  • Alternate Opening [Blu-ray]
  • Alternate Ending [Blu-ray]
  • Deleted Scene [Blu-ray]
  • Digital Copy [Blu-ray]
  • Obviously the Blu-ray is the way to go here because of all the extras it actually comes with… then again, whether it’s worth owning at all is something that’s up in the air anyway as the consensus seemed to be that it was… OK. I guess a solid rental for those who haven’t seen it yet.

Enjoy the cover art for both the DVD and the Blu-ray below (it ain’t bad!), and be sure to swipe your copy of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST. (2010) on October 5, 2010.
