Danielle Harris sure is kicking ass right now isn’t she? The legendary scream queen just finished starring in Adam Green’s HATCHET 2 and she’s already lining up other projects! One of which is NEW BLOOD! Never heard of it? Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
You see, NEW BLOOD is a feature heading our way from regular genre actor William Forsythe (right). That’s right folks, ‘The Sythe,’ as I like to call him, will be making his directorial debut with the feature! What’s this little diddy about? Bloody-Disgusting has the details!
You see the guys over at BD recently caught up with the absolutely adorable Danielle Harris at this year’s Saturn Awards and the actress spilled a bit on NEW BLOOD:
“I’m gonna be doing a film with William Forsythe actually called New Blood that he wrote and is directing and also acting in with me. It is a really beautiful, amazing, intense vampire movie. And I am completely petrified to be directed by William, but we’re great friends. It scares the crap out of me, but I’m so ready for it.”
Unfortunately Harris couldn’t talk much about her character, which will be the lead, but she did divulge on when the project will start filming:
“I think we’re gonna start mid-September, September 15th. It’s just incredibly intense and character-driven, and Bill wrote it, so it’s really well-written. Gorgeous, dramatic, contemporary vampire movie…that’s gonna be set in a stunning location.”
I don’t know about you guys, but in my eyes Danielle Harris can do no wrong. I honestly can’t even recall how long I’ve loved the actress and at this point her name alone is reason enough for me to buy a DVD. I’m sure I’m not the only one either.
