KOB Shot of the Day #16: Rolling the die.
If you guys have been following along with Joe Lynch’s KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM then I’ve got a treat for you all today! You see the last update we got on the film came a couple weeks ago in the casting of the gorgeous Summer Glau. Well the project has actually started production already and director Joe Lynch is bringing us along for the ride! … Sort of.
You see, over at the filmmaker’s Blogspot he’s been posting daily images from behind the scenes of KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM. Now this early in production it’s safe to assume the shots are, for the most part, boring and pointless. But there are definitely some little gems in there already! With more sure to come. Needless to say this blog might be something you want to keep your eye on…
I’ve tossed up just a few of the shots above and below, with the still directly below showcasing star Peter Dinklage ready for battle being the latest shot Lynch has shared with us. The director will be updating the blog daily with new photos so it would probably be a good idea to slap this one in your favorites and be sure to check it regularly!
A huge group of dedicated, costumed LARP-ers (Live Action Role-Players) , dressed like knights, elves & various characters, who give up their cell phones and take to the woods for the Central New Jersey Knights of Badassdom Adventure Society, where they are set to re-enact a dungeons and dragons scenario right out of the mythical Middle Ages.
After being dumped by his sexy girlfriend Beth, Joe reluctantly decides to join Eric and his Larping friends in the woods rather than stay behind and feel sorry for his newly single status. There he meets hot, ass-kicking, intimidating huntress LARPer Gwen, and finds himself a surreal adventure wilder than he ever imagined when a make-believe wizard casts an all-too-real spell from an ancient book he bought on EBay, releasing an actual demon with a taste for human blood — and souls — that starts systematically decimating the players in this suddenly deadly “game.” Will our guys become the heroes they have been pretending to be before time runs out?
Along with Glau (below) and Dinklage the flick also stars Ryan Kwatean, Steve Zahn and Danny Pudi. We’ll be on the lookout for more updates regarding the intriguing horror-comedy so be sure to keep it here for more on KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM as we hear it!
