A couple weeks ago we got a casting update for the upcoming FRIGHT NIGHT remake followed by a review of the script. (Matt dug that shite!) So what could I possibly have for you today? Why another casting update of course!

This is how it goes ladies and gentlemen. A big profile flick like FRIGHT NIGHT means every little ripple in production is heading your way. So without further ado I bring you today’s update, courtesy of the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting: It seems young actress Imogen Poots is in final talks to join the Craig Gillespie directed film! According to Bloody-Disgusting she’ll be playing ‘”Amy”, a popular high school senior who “needs to get nasty” by the finale.’

So there you go. Who is Imogen Poots (awesome name!)? She’s actually been around for a while now and I can almost gurantee you’ve seen her before. So how do we feel about her joining this FRIGHT NIGHT remake? I suppose the same way we felt with every other piece of casting news thus far: This shite is unnecessary. But alas it is indeed happening so we might as well go along for the ride.

Poots (pictured) joins Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, David Tennant and Christopher Mintz-Plasse in the 3D project. FRIGHT NIGHT will begin shooting sometime next month so expect lots more updates soon!
