Earlier this week our resident Jets fan Eric W. hit you all with the trailer for Giorgos Lanthimos’ Greek film KYNODONTAS (DOGTOOTH). The thing looked all kinds of f*cked up and that’s just the way we like it! So what’re we here to show you today? Well a f*cked up one-sheet of course!
If you scroll directly below you’ll be able to check out the newest DOGTOOTH poster in all it’s bloody glory. Now we’ve actually seen this method before in one-sheets and it seems people really dig it, so why stop now? This latest ‘face-closeup’ features an individual with a bloody mouth. Is it wrong to think this poster is pretty awesome? No, I didn’t think so.
Three teenagers are confined to an isolated country estate that could very well be on another planet. The trio spend their days listening to endless homemade tapes that teach them a whole new vocabulary. Any word that comes from beyond their family abode is instantly assigned a new meaning. Hence ‘the sea’ refers to a large armchair and ‘zombies’ are little yellow flowers. Having invented a brother whom they claim to have ostracized for his disobedience, the uber-controlling parents terrorize their offspring into submission.
DOGTOOTH has been ferociously running the festival circuit and plans on hitting the US in a limited release on June 25th.
