You guys remember back in February, when I told you about a flick heading our way called THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN 3D? Of course you do! Well today not only do I have a nice juicy update for TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN but we’ve also got some details on another Blood Worx Films project: BLACK FRIDAY 3D! Ready for the goods?
First up we’ve got BLACK FRIDAY 3D. Now this thing has actually been bouncing around for a while but today we’ve got an update for you all from Bloody-Disgusting. You see, originally it was reported that Blood Worx Films’ Ethan Terra would be directing the feature, but alas that is not the case. According to the guys over at B-D Japanese director Ryuhei Kitamura will now be stepping behind the camera for BLACK FRIDAY! While much of his work comes from Japan, one of Kitamura’s latest projects was actually THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN. That sh*t rocked pretty hard (except for the ending…) so I’m definitely down for seeing what else Kitamura can do!
The film is said to follow a couple that’s viciously assaulted. A brother and friends seek out the murderer and come face to face with the infamous serial killer known as Tyler Hillburg!
Now Terra may not be directing BLACK FRIDAY 3D but he is still very much involved in production as co-producer and co-writer. That shite is set to get going sometime this year in Toronto. According to the film’s Facebook page, Kane Hodder, Betsy Rue (below) and Tiffany Shepis are all set to star. Next up we’ve got THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN 3D!
This update comes from Ethan Terra himself, who dropped us a message letting us know what’s going on with the project. Now once again, contrary to popular opinion Mr. Terra is not directing the feature but obviously he’s heavily involved. What we do know is that the film is set to start filming in Silver City, New Mexico sometime soon and that Terra and company have some offers out to some Grade A talent! I’m talking some big names for a genre flick like TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN 3D! So make sure you keep it here for that news as it breaks!

Sh*t… That sounds pretty awesome to me! And in 3D! Nice! Another juicy TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN update we have for you is an early vampire creature concept from Kyle Thompson of Midnight Studios FX. Below you’ll find said concept sculpt, just click through for a slightly larger shot. Pretty vicious right? I have a feeling THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN might be the vampire flick we’ve been waiting for since 30 DAYS OF NIGHT! (Though DAYBREAKERS rocked pretty hard..)
