Like it or not,THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is coming sooner than you think. Next month, actually. Yes, next month. Let that shit sink in. And I have it under good authority that it’s going to be the number one movie at the box office this summer. Which is sad and depressing, but also inevitable. It’s best to face the fact now so it’ll make it easier to swallow when it actually happens.
Anyway, this isn’t about ECLIPSE, but rather it’s sequel, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN. We just learned that Bill Condon will be directing the fourth (and final???) film of the series (read all about it HERE),and now it looks like it has a release date!
Zeroing in the success of the first two film, BREAKING DAWN is going old-school, as according to Production Weekly’s Twitter, it’s official release date is November 18, 2011, right before the Thanksgiving holiday. It worked for TWILIGHT and NEW MOON, so why the f*ck not, right?
The best part is, that’s almost a year and a half after the release of ECLIPSE, which should be enough time to fight back the nauseous feeling in your belly. The worse part, finally finishing this stupid series is that much further away. Don’t expect the hype / insanity over the series to die down until spring 2012, when BREAKING DAWN will likely be hitting DVD and Blu-ray.
There you have it. BREAKING DAWN in theaters Novermber 18, 2011. And for those who can’t wait that long, ECLIPSE will be busting out on the big screen June 30, 2010. Yay…..
