The moment many of you have been waiting for since 2001 MANIACS busted on the scene 5 years ago is almost here: the US premiere of 2001 MANIACS: FIELD OF SCREAMS is about to take place at the end of the month, and you (yes YOU) are invited!
The Texas Frightmare Festival is screening the film for audiences in a Red Carpet event, featuring live bands, and much of the cast attending, including director Tim Sullivan, Bill Moseley, Kevin “Ogre” Ogilvie, Christa Campbell, Adam Robitel, Ryan Fleming, Kathryn Le, Nicole Rae, Katy Johnson, Asa Hope, Jordan Yale Levine, Larayia Gaston, and Jezebel the Sheep!
To get in on this action, just head over to the Studio Movie Grill in Lewisville, TX, on April 29, and hold on for the ride! The local bluegrass band Karl Schifflet and his Troubadour Band will bust out a live performance before the show, and “Jezzie” will be there as well, leading the audience in a drinking game to play during the movie (yes, a drinking game in a movie theater… awesome).
This is all piggybacking the Texas Frightmare Weekend, which the cast and crew of FIELD OF SCREAMS will be attending for a Q&A and all sorts of other fun shenanigans. Least to say, you show up to this party, and you’re gonna have a good time!
The big day is April 29, 2010, with a start time of 8:30pm. Be there or be square. And be sure to PRE-ORDER YOUR COPY ON DVD before it hits shelves July 20, 2010.
