A film festival isn’t just a film festival when it takes place in Las Vegas, and nothing holds onto that truth more than the upcoming Grindhouse film festival Polly Staffle Grindhouse Fest (PollyGrind for short), aiming to hit Vegas for 5 glorious days of 13 movies, shorts, music videos, and over 30 trailers, showcasing the filth of the world in shock cinema. Oh yes, there will be blood! And booze! And hookers!
If it’s sleazy B-movie grindhouse, it’s gotta be PollyGrind. So what flicks can we look forward to while attending the event taking place May 12-16 at the Las Vegas Sci-Fi Center? Here’s a brief list of the films and shorts…
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Full length features, shorts, trailers, music videos… it’s a B-movie jamboree of awesomeness, and only Vegas has the balls to host such a pristine event. And yes, because I know you’re wondering… there may even be go-go and belly dancers (i.e., strippers) at the event as well
They could have also just had a festival featuring films with awesome titles, though VAGINAL HOLOCAUST and DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK would have been the obvious winners. Seriously, those two have titles to die for!
Also to note, John Fallon aka The Arrow aka My Boss is premiering his short film THE RED HOURS at the festival, and is looking to blow the minds off of everyone in the audience (that’s what she said). Checking out The Arrow’s long awaited film should be a priority for just about everyone…
