Back at the end of February we gave you all a look at some behind the scenes shots from the snowy creature feature HYPOTHERMIA. Coming from director James Felix McKenney and starring Michael Rooker, HYPOTHERMIA’s synopsis reads:
In a remote winter hideaway devoid of any sign of life, two unsuspecting families on an ice-fishing vacation discover something sinister lurking in the frozen lake. One thing is for certain – the creature is hungry and the only prey left is human.
This is all old news though. What I’m here to tell you today is that the guys over at Fangoria recently had a chance to chat it up with HYPOTHERMIA director James Felix McKenney. In doing so they also scored some new stills from the flick! You can scope out a couple of the shots above and below, but you’ll want to click through for larger shots and to check out the rest of the new stills. McKenney talks about a number of topics in the interview including storms they had to battle while filming, the problems the weather caused, the effects, what flicks inspired him through his career and praise for his actors!
“Michael Rooker is insane. He has more energy than he knows what to do with, but turns in an incredible performance. I have to say there was one point in the movie where he actually got me choked up. It was powerful.”
Along with Rooker, HYPOTHERMIA also stars Blanche Baker, Greg Finley, Asa Liebmann, Don Wood, Ben Forster, and Amy Chang (below). For the whole interview with McKenney you can head right over HERE. No word on any sort of release for HYPOTHERMIA but when we know, you’ll know!
