You guys remember us telling you about a flick called THE RESIDENT? You know, that thriller starring Hilary Swank. The last update we got came back in January, when Eric gave us all a look at some stills from the flick. Ringing any bells?
Well in case you still have no idea what I’m talking about let me hit you all with the skinny on THE RESIDENT. Coming from director Antti Jokinen, the flick stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lee Pace, and Christopher Lee along with two-time Academy Award Winner Hilary Swank (below).
After separating from her husband, pretty young doctor Juliet Dermer moves to Brooklyn, settling into a new life in a stunning and spacious loft apartment that seems too good to be true.
It is…
Mysterious occurrences lead her to suspect that she is not alone in her home and quickly her fears become all too real. In a chilling revelation, she discovers that her seemingly charming, young landlord, Max, has developed a dangerous obsession with her. A terrifying game of cat and mouse ensues as Juliet fights to free herself from Max’s sinister intentions.
So there you go. Now I’ve got to be honest, normally I wouldn’t look twice at a flick like this. THE RESIDENT seems like your run of the mill obsession flick, right? Right. Well what sold this bad boy for me is how f*cking twisted Jeffrey Dean Morgan looks in these new stills! I mean the dude looks completely tapped! And I’m loving it. It’s not every day you have an actor completely selling a flick to you through stills. Scope out all the new stills above and below, with a couple older ones thrown in for good measure. That Dean Morgan is pretty damn good. At least that’s my opinion. What’s yours? Hit us with your thoughts below!
Along with the mess of new stills we’ve also got a look at the first trailer for THE RESIDENT, albeit bootleg the trailer is actually pretty damn good. That whole comment about ‘just another obsession flick’ … yeah I’m pretty sure I’m eating my words. You can check out the trailer for yourself below or over in our videos section. THE RESIDENT still doesn’t have a release date but hopefully it scores one soon!
