Last House on the Left director turning Keanu Reeves into Jekyll/Hyde?

There’s been a lot of talk lately regarding flicks based on the classic tale of DR. JEKYLL & MR. HYDE. We know all about Abel Ferrara’s JEKYLL AND HYDE and how the film is now Forest-Whitaker-less. Bummer. Now there’s no real reason to even look forward to that one…

Alas today I have some news that may have you looking forward to another Jekyll and Hyde flick. I’m talking about the Keanu Reeves starring JEKYLL, which we first told you about way back in May of last year. That’s nearly a year without a single update on the project. Harsh. But that changes today!

According to the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting JEKYLL just scored itself a director in the form of Dennis Iliadis. I’ve got to be honest here… I didn’t see that one coming. Then again I can’t really complain considering Iliadis turned some heads with last year’s THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT. I dug the flick for what it was which means I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what else Iliadis can do! And directing Keanu Reeves (above) to play the infamous monster Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde? Nice!

I know what you’re asking yourself: ‘Didn’t this flick already have a director?’ Why yes. Yes it did. Last year Nicolas Winding Refn was all geared up to direct JEKYLL based on a script by Justin Haythe. Well apparently Refn is out and Iliadis is in! Unfortunately no reasoning is given.

So what do you guys think? You on board Iliadis tackling this bad boy or would you rather see someone else direct Keanu between Jekyll and Hyde? Hit us with your thoughts below and keep it here for more on JEKYLL as we hear it!
