UPDATE: CLASH OF THE TITANS earned $26.4 million on Friday!

Yup, you know it’s a slow ass news day (on the start of a 3-day weekend) when we’re bringing you box office numbers from a single day’s worth of screenings (okay, 2 days worth). But here we are, reporting what you may have already stumbled upon…namely how CLASH OF THE TITANS earned a staggering $4.2 million Thursday night, playing in just upward of 3,000 locations. Quite the treat found in Warner Bros.’ Easter basket, don’t ya think?!?

In addition, Deadline Hollywood has updated their figures, extrapolating that an estimated $25-30 million would be earned today (Friday). Such success is surely due to the recent hike in 3D ticket prices, as the film itself is getting pretty lambasted for its egregious last minute 3D conversion (READ THE ARROW’S REVIEW HERE).

Those closely tracking the financials of the flick predict CLASH OF THE TITANS will break every Easter weekend record, projecting no less than a $70 take when all is said and done. You know what that means, right? Yup, CLASH OF THE TITANS 2 is no doubt on the brink!

Again, looks like Warner Bros. is laughing all the way to the bank!

So what’s up? Have you already contributed to the gross of CLASH? Do you plan to this weekend? If you’ve already seen the flick, feel free to donate your two-cents below!

So how does Alexa Davalos’ Andromeda look in 3D?
