In our third straight DVD news article of the day (must be a slow week, ay?), we’ve got some pretty awesome details regarding the Blu-ray release of the first 4 ALIEN movies, done so in one wrapped up package of dynamite called ALIEN ANTHOLOGY. You stoked? No? Get the hell off out property!

According to the German site Bluray-disc.de, which reports its findings from an advance copy of MINORITY REPORT Blu-ray, not only does the new anthology boast the tagline: “In space, no one can hear you scream…but on Blu-ray they can,” word is only ALIEN, ALIENS, ALIEN 3 & ALIEN RESURRECTION will be included in the box-set.

Furthermore, the anthology is being put out by Charles De Lauzirika, the man who brought us the exhaustive 5-disc BLADERUNNER edition, as well as many other Ridley Scott films. And if you thought that bundle of joy was epic, peep this: De Lauzirika said that, while the Quadrilogy DVD was already very comprehensive, this Anthology Blu-ray set will blow it out of the water, with new extras and commentaries.

Also, a new sound mix has been done for the extended edition of Alien 3, which involved bringing back some of the cast to re-loop their dialogue.

No release date for the anthology is concrete, but general word seems to favor the yuletide season of this year.

ALIEN RESURRECTION hottie Winona Ryder!
