One thing we love here at AITH is a good revenge flick, especially when it fits right into our beloved genre. Steven Kastrissios’ Australian thriller THE HORSEMAN is looking like it may be just that!

We’ve actually told you about the flick before, way back in August with Mike Catalano actually hitting us with his review of the film back in October. So what’s the deal with THE HORSEMAN? Screen Media Ventures announced today that they’ll be giving THE HORSEMAN a limited theatrical release starting June 15th!

Nice! It’s always good to see a flick like THE HORSEMAN getting some theatrical love. Now if you know nothing about the film worry not, that’s what I’m here for! First let me hit you all with the flick’s synopsis:

Christian, the father of a recently deceased teenager, embarks on a mad mission of savage payback. After watching a video featuring the last people to see his daughter alive, Christian carves his way through a pack of lowlife pornographers who respond with violence of their own. Meanwhile, Alice, the teenaged hitchhiker he has picked up along the way, remains oblivious to the mounting body count.

Sounds good to me! THE HORSEMAN stars Peter Marshall, Caroline Marohasy (below), Brad McMurray, Jack Henry, and Evert McQueen. Over in our videos section I’ve gone and tossed up a couple videos for THE HORSEMAN, one is a trailer put together for the film’s entry into the South by Southwest Film Festival and the other is the opening scene from the film, which runs around four minutes. Enjoy that shite below and get ready for THE HORSEMAN, hitting theaters on June 15th!
