Director Timur Bekmambetov hasn’t done much but what he has done is pretty damn impressive. I’m talking about his trio of flicks WANTED, DAYWATCH and NIGHTWATCH. So what’s Bekmambetov working on next? It seems he may be following THE LAST WITCH HUNTER.

The news comes in from Deadline New York and has Bekmambetov (right) getting ready to sign on as director and producer. Now what exactly is THE LAST WITCH HUNTER? Well it comes from writer Cory Goodman and follows one of the last remaining witch hunters, a breed that keeps the population of witches and warlocks in check. They are about to repopulate in a major way unless he can stop them.

Well shite I can dig that. What says you guys? You down for a witch-hunting romp from Bekmambetov? Loads of potential there in my opinion. The flick is coming from Summit Entertainement with Adam Goldworm executive producing. Keep it here for more on THE LAST WITCH HUNTER as we hear it!
