Looks like we may have a British version of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY on our hands. Whether such a notion enthralls or revolts you is another question entirely (one we’d like to hear your answers to in the talkbacks below).

The flick in question is called THE POSSESSION OF DAVID O’REILLY, the feature writing/directing debut of Andrew Cull, whose sole writing credit up to this point comes by way of the U.K. TV series “Urban Gothic.”

Based on true events, THE POSSESSION OF DAVID O’REILLY is a supernatural shockumentary about a demonic presence in a young couple’s home in London.

While that plotline does somewhat mirror Oren Peli’s micro-budgeted hit, after seeing the trailer you may think twice. Why? First off, there’s actually f*ckin’ blood in this movie. Not only that, the “monsters” in this flick not only seem much more tangible, they’re also far more grisly than those in PARANORMAL. A few of the shots below look like something right out of a late night TNT creature-feature marathon (including one puppet looking beast popping out from behind a door – at roughly the 2:07-2:08 mark…check that shite out).

Giles Anderson plays the tormented lead, with support offered from Francesca Fowler, Nicholas Shaw, and Zoe Richards.

The flick was produced Authentic Films, with distribution from Epic Pictures Group.

We have no release dates yet, so stay up!
