Some of you are going through ECLIPSE withdraws because it’s been something like 2 or 3 weeks since our last update (which you can check out right HERE). Well time to calm the f*ck down and relax, as we have an update today that will surely blow your mind.
According to Entertainment Weekly’s Hollywood Insider, film editor Art Jones has been taken off of ECLIPSE and replaced with TWILIGHT editor Nancy Richardson. Jones has worked on director David Slade’s last two films (HARD CANDY and 30 DAYS OF NIGHT), leaving many of us to wonder… is this a bad sign for ECLIPSE?
Ok, so there’s never going to be a good sign for this movie, but you gotta be curious to see what Slade is gonna do with this one, no? Was his vision too dark and twisted that Summit Entertainment is now shitting bricks and wants a TWILIGHT alum to come on board and make it more TWILIGHTy? Or was Jones showing up to work horribly hungover every day? The speculations keep rising…
Summit is claiming a stronger edit is needed to pull the film off, and that Richardson understands the emotion of the characters and is an ace at balancing action with the other elements of the film. Riiiiiight. To check out the full scoop, click HERE, and get ready for ECLIPSE in theaters everywhere June 30, 2010.
