So what’s the smartest way to skirt backlash from making a flick that clearly bites FRIDAY THE 13TH? Arm that bastard with as many top-flight female lookers as possible, that’s how!

And that gang, is apparently what actor turned writer/director Griff Furst has done with a low budget indie slasher flick 30 DAYS TO DIE. Not buying it? Fix your eyes on the gory, hottie-filled trailer below!

Co-written by John Case and Marquito Sanchez, 30 DAYS TO DIE stars Shirly Brener, Wendy Carter, Laurence Cohen, Brendan Connor, Marjan Faritous, Samantha Cope (below), Kevin Kazakoff, Kristina Keyling, Gina La Piana, Mark Sheffler, and Kady Zadora.

Here’s a brief synopsis for the flick: A group of girls trapped in an institution suffer the wrath of a serial killer on the loose. This campy thriller pays homage to Friday the 13th.

Man, reading that generic description hardly does the trailer justice. That’s not to say anything in the following clip is bound to reinvent the wheel…but I’m pretty comfortable saying the movie looks to be a tad more brutal and unforgiving than a “campy thriller.” Of course I may be wrong, I usually am. But as it stands, 30 DAYS TO DIE is a flick I’ll keep a look out for on DVD (a date for which we do not know yet). I mean, with nude shower scenes, chicks vomiting, and a healthy dose of bloodletting…what’s not to like?!?
