The last few weeks have been crazy in terms of casting news coming out of Patrick Lussier’s DRIVE ANGRY 3D, the upcoming car revenge flick promising to push the bloody envelope in every which way possible. In that time, we’ve learned that David Morse, Charlotte Ross, and Billy Burke have joined Nicholas Cage, Amber Heard, and William Fichtner, and today, we have another impressive casting announcement, maybe more impressive than the last.
The boys at Dread Central have learned that the one, the only, the great Tom Atkins has signed on to star in DRIVE ANGRY 3D! The last time we saw The Atkins on the big screen was Lussier’s MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D, so least to say you know he’s gonna be portraying some sort of badass here as well.
Written by Lussier and Todd Farmer, DRIVE ANGRY 3D goes a bit like this: a vengeful father who chases after the men who killed his daughter.
It doesn’t get any better–or basic–than that. And with Atkins on board, if this movie wasn’t high on your must-see list before…. it sure as shit should be now!
