We love us some good ol’ vicious revenge here at AITH so when some major buzz comes through regarding a movie about just that you can be sure we’re going to take notice! The movie in question is called RED HILL and is coming at us from down under. That’s right folks, an Australian revenge tale is making the rounds at the European Film Market and seems to be turning some heads!
Word coming in from ScreenDaily today has Momentum snatching up UK rights for RED HILL from Arclight Films, who’re currently fielding offers for the film from Germany and Spain as well as already closing deals with Svensk in Scandinavia, Pinema in Turkey, Forum in Israel and Transmission in Australia. Screenings for RED HILL set up by Arclight in Los Angeles and New York have already garnered several offers as well.
So what’s the deal with RED HILL? Check it: A young police officer must survive his first day’s duty in a small country town, which includes dealing with a convicted murderer seeking revenge. Sounds like fun to me! The film comes from writer/director Patrick Hughes and stars Steve Bisley, Kevin Harrington, Tommy Lewis, Claire van der Boom (below) and TRUE BLOOD’s Ryan Kwanten.
