Now here’s a horse of a different color.

With Breck Eisner’s revision of George A. Romero’s THE CRAZIES two weeks from contaminating theatergoers, a tight little motion comic trailer for the flick has been released by Overture Films. And ya know what? That shite ain’t half-bad!

Based on the (CRAZIES) comic book series inspired by the 1973 Romero film, we more or less have an animated montage of sadistic images, disturbing music, and finally a short monologue from a dude I can only assume to be based on Timothy Olyphant’s character in the film version. Although, Olyphant plays the town sheriff, doesn’t he?

Either way you chop it, it’s a fun little promo tie-in to go along with all the new clips we’ve seen in the last week or two (visit them shites in our video section).

Also starring Radha Mitchell (below), Danielle Panabaker, Joe Reegan, Joe Anderson, Christie Lynn Smith, Bret Rickaby, Preston Bailey, John Aylward and Larry Cedar – THE CRAZIES arrive:

As a toxin begins to turn the residents of Ogden Marsh, Iowa into violent psychopaths, sheriff David Dutton (Olyphant) tries to make sense of the situation while he, his wife (Mitchell), and two other unaffected townspeople band together in a fight for survival.

The flick is due Feb. 26th!
