TV’s Buffy in an yet another Asian horror remake? All is right in the world it would seem!

POSSESSION, a flick we haven’t spoken of in almost a year (when it was then purported to see a May, 2009 DVD release), is finally coming out on DVD March 9th, 2010. No, really!

Completed in 2007 and set for a February 2008 wide release in theaters, the film’s distributor Yari Film Group went bankrupt, resulting in close to a dozen release push backs (including never seeing the light here in the states).

Also starring Lee Pace (THE FALL, THE RESIDENT), Michael Landes, William B. Davis, Chelah Horsdal, Tuva Novotny, Michael Jonsson, Suzanne Bastien, paul Jarrett, Drew Scott, Mark Louie and Mike Wasko – POSSESSION tells the story of:

Jess, a woman whose life turns surreal after an automobile accident leaves both her husband Ryan and her brother-in-law Roman in a coma. Things take an even darker turn when Roman wakes believing that he is Ryan. As Jess tries to deal with these increasingly disturbing events, she also struggles with the possibility that either the spirit of her husband has returned to her or that something very sinister is at work.

Joel Bergvall and Simon Sandquist co-direct the film (as they did THE INVISIBLE), with adapted script credit to Michael Petroni and Jae-yong Gwak.
