Ever since happening upon a dinky sub-30 second promo tickler for Josh Reed’s PRIMAL in our video section, I’ve been waiting with bated breath to see more. Well folks, I hope your blood lust is high, because we’ve just locked an awesome, grue-soaked official trailer for the damn flick to fill your fix!

Co-written with Reed by longtime soundman Nigel Christensen, PRIMAL shapes up when:

Anja and five friends join anthropology student, Dace, on a journey to study a remote, ancient rock painting. Their excitement vanishes when Mel becomes delirious after skinny-dipping in the waterhole. Feverish, bleeding, confused, she physically and mentally regresses to a vicious predatory state. Mel has gone primal.

Mel’s lover and friends realize they are the prey as she savagely hunts them down. Before they can escape another one of them starts to regress, posing a hideous choice; kill their friends or be killed by them. Their only hope of survival is through a cave, where Anja learns too late the meaning of the ancient rock art they came to study.

Ah man, ancient rock art determining the course of fate? This shite has the potential to be RUINS preposterous. Which is to say, a lot of f*ckin’ fun!

PRIMAL stars Krew Boylan, Ch’aska Cuba de Reed, Santiago Cuba de Reed, Lindsay Farris, Rebekah Foord, Damien Freeleagus, Stephen Shanahan, Wil Traval and Zoe Tuckwell-Smith as Anja.

No release dates are known as of yet, but you can check back with us or visit the Official Site for the film to stay abreast.
