When news hits a few weeks back that Robert Downey Jr. was leaving COWBOYS & ALIENS, I felt a titch disappointed… but that went away very quickly when Daniel Craig was announced in taking Downey’s place (read the triumphant story HERE). I’m a big fan of the new Bond, and I can’t wait to see what he’s gonna bring to this role. It’s gonna be rad.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog, Olivia Wilde is currently in negotiations to star opposite Craig in the picture, playing a chick named Ella who joins gunslinger Craig on his mission to battle alien scum in the wild wild West. She would also, presumably, be Craig’s love interest. Not bad… not bad at all!
COWBOYS & ALIENS is a sci-fi Western that explores what would happen if the traditional Old West enemies — cowboys and Native Americans — found the prairie attacked by aliens in mid-1800s Arizona.
Hells yeah. I’ll always know her as the chick from THE O.C., but you may remember her from TURISTAS. Then again, you may have been blinded by her bikini at that point…
